NVL is Nelson Tasman’s largest privately owned Landscape Design and Construction company.
Due to high levels of scheduled work, we need a Landscape Construction Manager to support our Commercial Manager with all aspects of NVL operational and construction management activity.
This 45 hour p/w role is split between managerial tasks and on site work, and is available for an immediate start.
Key Tasks:- Organise site crews and brief Foremen on expected daily outcomes.
- Communicate on-site progress, risks, delays and out of scope requests to Management.
- Oversee project budgets and take all steps to maximise profit and mitigate loss.
- Work with NV Design’s Landscape Architect implementing landscape plans to design specifications.
- Ensure excellent HS standards on site.
- Site quality sign offs at critical project points.
- Landscape construction tasks.
- Extensive landscape construction experience particularly with timber work, paving and machinery use.
- A high level of technical hardscape skills ensuring top quality finishes.
- A meticulous approach to coordinating project documentation and costs.
- Previous site management experience using job management software (WorkflowMax or similar)
- Ability to foresee project requirements and risks in a dynamic work environment.
- A leadership style that supports staff to be their best while confidently addressing staff management tasks.
