We are looking for a highly motivated Nurse Specialist or Senior Registered Nurse to step into a Nurse Specialist within our Auckland Sexual Health ServicePart time, fixed term, 0.5 FTE up to June 2026 opportunity!Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and innovative Nurse Specialist or Registered Nurse working at top of scope, with advanced experience in sexual and reproductive health, looking for an opportunity to progress their career.As the Nurse Specialist, you will demonstrate expert knowledge, advanced clinical skills, work autonomously, be an excellent communicator, adaptable and work well within a team.

Sexual Health Nursing is a dynamic area where you will be working in nurse led clinics covering the continuum of care in sexual health. This includes the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of STIs, collaborative management of sexual assault and other sexual health related needs.
You will join a supportive multidisciplinary teamFor this role you will be based at Body Positive, running nurse led clinics; being accountable for care delivery, coordination of patients needing STI testing, HIV prevention and working with patients newly diagnosed with HIV.Communication, problem solving skills and the ability to work with this culturally diverse patient group is essential.
