As the role of a nurse can be quite demandingyour ability to work under pressure will be desirable but in return for yourhard work you will be rewarded with supportive leadership and the opportunityto learn from our multidisciplinary team as you work closely alongside otherhealthcare professionals.We encourage professionaldevelopment and will work closely with you to achieve any academic milestones,in-house courses, and specialised training options to suit your goals asdesired.Skills and experience:Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, with current APCBe a confident practitioner with good patient assessment skillsPossess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a wide variety of peopleKnowledge of and a commitment to Te Tiriti O WaitangiBurwood Hospital is a close-knit, friendly facility that forms part of Te Whatu Ora- Waitaha [Canterbury] situated near Burwood Forest on the outskirts of Christchurch Central.
Along with 11 inpatient wards, we also have a busy Out Patient Department; 4 theatres with an Admitting Unit and PACU.
Our Spinal Unit is one of two located in New Zealand and between the two busy units deliver a National Service.We are proud of how we do things.We have a way of working that we consider unique.
