Christchurch - Quantity Surveyor
Step into a Quantity Surveyor role where your experience will be valued and expanded across a diverse range of projects, with an initial focus within our small works team. Working closely with a collaborative team, you'll be involved in the full end-to-end process—from scoping and pricing to forecasting, claims, variations, and financial account management.
This is a unique opportunity to grow your skills across multiple areas of the construction landscape, with hands-on involvement in scoping, estimating, and project delivery. We’re looking for someone who brings energy, communicates confidently both verbally and in writing, and builds strong relationships.You’ll be client-facing to a degree, so professionalism and a proactive attitude are key. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Conduct pre-construction assessments manage the pricing/ tender process and submit quotes and tenders
- Scope and price variations; negotiate with subcontractors and clients
- Maintain contract documentation and prepare financial reports
- Manage post-construction follow-up activities
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Minimum 2 years of Quantity Surveying experience, with proven high-quality outcomes
- Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification preferred
- Trade background advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with main contractors is a plus
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets
- Estimating and scoping experience is important
