-time positionBased in the Visits Reception at Waikeria PrisonChallenging but rewarding role Mō te tūnga | About the roleWaikeria Prison are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, committed individual who can complete a wide range of office administration activities.

This is a rewarding and challenging position within an environment that will stretch your skills and offer ongoing support.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Liaising with our management team and the publicLiaising with organisations and services we work withReception and phone dutiesBooking whanau visits for the men in our careProcessing filesRecord management and ensuring correspondence, reports and other documentation meet Department timelines and standardsProviding administration support across our site by setting up meeting invites, taking minutes, recording actions, communicating with external stakeholders and filingIn this busy role, you will thrive working collaboratively within a team of up to 20 staff on a 7-8 day roster (with weekend work required).

You will operate in a challenging, fast-paced environment where the ability to multitask, remain adaptable, and follow policies and procedures is essential.
Strong judgement is required to effectively prioritise tasks and activities to meet deadlines.
Please note that some lifting may be required.

A full New Zealand driver licence is also required for this role.

  • $68,434 per annum.
