Carpentry Foreman

We’re growing and looking for a hands-on Carpentry Foreman to lead our team across Tauranga, Whakamarama and the Mount. If you’re a qualified chippy who can run sites with pride, keep programmes on track, and bring the best out of a team—let’s talk.

• About the Role

You’ll own the day-to-day delivery of residential and light-commercial projects—from architectural renovations and new builds and re-clads. You’ll help coordinate subbies, manage materials and sequencing, uphold quality and safety standards, and keep clients and the office in the loop.

• You’ll be Helping with :
• Leading and mentoring a crew of carpenters and apprentices (toolbox talks, H&S, QA).
• Running programes, booking inspections, and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.
• Interpreting plans/specs and ensuring work meets NZS 3604 and consent requirements.
• Managing site logistics, material take-offs/orders, and daily/weekly reporting
• Delivering tidy and high-quality workmanship.
• What You’ll Need
• Trade-qualified carpenter (NZ Cert or equivalent).
• Proven on-site leadership as Leading Hand/Foreman (or ready to step up).
• Strong planning and communication skills; calm under pressure.
• Confident reading plans, sequencing trades, and maintaining site documentation.
• Full Class 1 NZ driver’s licence.
• Site Safe/First Aid and LBP are a bonus (or willingness to obtain).
