Business Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 7 days a week

Wetlands Eatery is a locally renowned café and eatery located in Parklands, Christchurch. We pride ourselves on serving fresh, high-quality meals made with locally sourced ingredients. We are now looking for an experienced and passionate Cook to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and present meals according to the menu and customer preferences
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards in the kitchen
• Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering and receiving supplies
• Operate cooking equipment and kitchen appliances safely and efficiently
• Ensure quality control and presentation standards are consistently met
• Assist in developing new menu items and daily specials as required
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times
• Comply with food control plans and health & safety regulations

Applicants must have:

• A New Zealand Register Level 4 (or higher) qualification in cookery or a relevant field; OR
• A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a commercial kitchen setting

Additional Information:

• The role requires availability across weekdays and weekends as rostered
• Applicants must be reliable, team-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
