We are on the hunt for a motivated Procurement team member to join our company.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in procurement and play a vital role in both meeting and shaping businesses' current and future office products requirements.

Our business is constantly adapting and looking for improvements to the way we manage our inventory and therefore development of our processes are dynamic. The role is geared to develop from an operational process function to one that drives business change through working strategically with inventory data.

The role will suit someone who is experienced in following transactional ordering processes, but equally that is looking for an opportunity to showcase their ability to identify and execute on strategic initiatives that enable operational efficiencies.

In addition to the purchasing component of this role you will be confident in your ability to identify and contribute to the wider team. Excel skills that enable cleansing and manipulating data are a must have capability and strong attention to detail is non-negotiable.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. They will be responsible for managing the daily ordering of products and over time contribute to developing data-driven purchasing strategies that minimise total inventory costs while improving our overall customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for a number of tasks including but not limited to:
  • Prepare, review and submit daily purchase orders for multiple branches across multiple suppliers
  • Responsible for providing daily operational assistance to wider procurement team and business
  • Engaging with and liaising between external suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure product management related to delivering on customer expectations are met; including product obsoleteness, pricing issues, stock availability management etc
  • Using data to provide inventory and product insights that drive procurement opportunities
Experience:
  • Experience in a procurement or purchasing focused role (preferable)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • The ability to build relationships and communicate clearly and effectively, with internal and external stakeholders.
