Trades Person - Fabrication Heavy/Light

Here is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Tradesperson to join our Manufacturing team based in Porirua. Our dedicated team builds industrial heating and combustion equipment and associated plant ancillary equipment in accordance with Australian/New Zealand standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out welding or fabrication work as directed.
• Interpreting drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.

We're looking for candidates with a good working knowledge of machines, tools and equipment used in fabrication work. You'll be meticulous with measurements and able to read and interpret drawings.

Your background and skills:

• Hold a trade qualification in either Light Fab, Heavy Fab, Sheetmetal or Fitter Welder.
• Excellent Mig welding skills.
• Previous experience in Pipe Welding and Pipe Fabrication is desirable.
• Safety training in confined spaces and safe working at heights preferred.
• You must be physically fit.
• A proactive approach to health & safety.
