Fabricator/Welder – Pathway to Service Technician
Location: Manukau, Auckland
Are you an experienced fabricator/welder looking to step into a technical service environment? We’re seeking someone driven to solve problems and eager to learn, with an interest in joining our growing Service Technician team.
About the Role:You’ll work between inhouse fabrication (steel/aluminum trailers, tippers, and specialty builds) and supporting equipment servicing, repairs, and upgrades—all completed at our modern Manukau site. Callouts are extremely rare.
What You’ll Do:
Fabricate and repair trailers, tippers, and related steel/aluminum projects in the workshop
Assist with new build and customisation projects for our own and client fleets
Support servicing and upgrades on our equipment as part of the service tech team
Take part in scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and process improvements
Maintain records of work, builds, and inventory
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have proven fabrication/welding experience (steel essential; aluminum a plus)
Hold a welding certification (preferred but not required)
Hold a full class 1 driver’s license (required)
Have a forkhoist license and/or class 2 license (preferred but not required)
Be comfortable learning ONshape and other CAD programs (experience preferred but not required)
Be a strong problem-solver, eager to learn and grow with new technologies
Communicate well and work positively within a team
