Job Description:We are seeking diligent and skilled Chip Seal Runners for a temporary position in Napier. The ideal candidates will assist in the efficient and effective application of chip seal surfaces. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working in a fast-paced outdoor environment so must be physically fit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and application of chip seal materials.
- Ensure even distribution of chips over the surface. - Monitor and adjust equipment as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in road construction or similar field preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain relevant equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's licence may be required.
- Must pass a drug test, MOJ checks.
