Junior Mechanic/Cycle Technician - Invercargill
Are you mechanically minded, confident speaking with customers and keen to grow your skills in a supportive team environment? STIHL SHOP Winton is on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic full time Junior Mechanic/Cycle Technician to join our friendly team.
We specialise in the sales and servicing of outdoor power equipment and cycles, with quality brands such as Stihl, Scott, Avanti, Honda, Masport, LawnMaster, Cub Cadet, Hustler and Walker.
You'll be working in our busy, modern workshop alongside experienced technicians, servicing a wide range of equipment including chainsaws and other STIHL equipment; ride on, rotary and robotic mowers; pumps; generators; bikes including e-bikes.The role can also include opportunities for assisting in our showroom with general retail sales for those who enjoy engaging with customers and expanding their product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:- Repairs and servicing of outdoor power equipment and cycles
- Supporting senior workshop staff and learning on the job
- Assembly of new products
- Fueling and running up new products
- General workshop duties and maintenance
- Booking customer jobs into the system
- Assisting customers in the showroom
- Eager to learn
- Mechanically minded
- Has a strong interest in engines and how things work
- Is reliable, enthusiastic, confident and motivated
