Welder-Fabricator

Our client is a leading engineering firm that is locally owned and operated, and they need a skilled and experienced Welder-Fabricator to fill this role. Stellar Recruitment is looking for a motivated and suitably experienced person to work for this fantastic company.

About the role:

• Working in a leading supportive and reputable business
• Full time, permanent work with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week and overtime hours as required
• $28 - $32 per hour

What you need to be successful in this role:

• You must have at least 3 years of relevant metal fabrication and welding work experience.
• You must be physically fit and a good leader and team player
• You will need a forklift licence
• You will need welding certifications (overhead and vertical up welding) and gantry crane certification
• Managing risks and ensuring full compliance with all Health and Safety regulations
• You will have a flexible approach to working overtime including weekends when required

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Mark out and cut job to specifications
• Check pre-cut materials for accuracy and ensuring all requirements for holes, welds and tacking are met
• Operating power tools, pressures and machinery
• Operating gantry crane as required
• Using appropriate tools and techniques to produce high quality products
• Working in a clean and tidy manner, checking for quality.
