Full time (minimum guaranteed hours 30, maximum hours 40)
We are a logistics company based in Auckland New Zealand and is engaged in providing logistics services to include temperature control logistics. We require Truck Drivers for different positions in Class1, Class2, Class 4 and Class 5 to be employed within our company based in Auckland.Place of work will be at Highbrook
Salary offered from $25-$34 per hour depending on experience.
Minimum hours of work 30 and maximum hours 40.
Job requirements:
Must hold a New Zealand driver’s license
Must have one year work experience as a truck driver
Clean drivers license equivalent to each class of driver’s license.
Able to work rostered hours, however 30 hours per week guaranteed.
Must have one year work experience as a truck driver in Auckland
Must be a NZ citizen, Permanent visa holder or a work visa holder
Pass the criminal record test
Pass the drug test.
Qualifications not relevant if work experience requirement is met and holds clean NZ driver’s
Driver’s operating skills will be tested.
Job description will include but will not be limited to;- Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Operate truck into positions to ensure proper position for loading and unloading
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Keep a log of their activities
- Follow all applicable traffic laws
- Make sure that all loading documents are in order
- Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Keep the truck and associated equipment clean and in good working order
- Inspect the trailer before and after the trip, and record any defects that they find
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations Any visa welcome!
