Retail Supervisor - Te Aroha

Hours of work: A minimum of 30 (a Maximum of 40) must be prepared to work on weekends and public holidays.

Between 1 - 2 years of working experience in the retail industry or relevant.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Taking instructions from the Manager/Owner.
• An assistant manager should be able to implement pricing policies and price setting.
• Checking stock, adding or removing stock as per their demand, always keeping in-demand items in stock, and maintaining records of stock levels.
• Promoting and advertising the outlet goods and services in consultation with the store.
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Problem-solving and multi-tasking in a demanding environment.
• Regular communication with the store owner and staff when required.
• Managing staff rosters, Staff salaries and daily banking.
• Providing input to management on the store future growth and stability.
• Be aware of PAYE and GST, and be available to deal with accountants if & when required

• Take up any other job responsibility if requested by the store owner.
• Attending to unforeseen incidents such as burglary, theft, etc.
• Ensuring food safety & health safety compliance standards are maintained.
• Must be able to operate the store in the absence of the store owner for longer periods if and when required.
• Successful applicants must be prepared to work early morning shifts (commencing at 6:00am) and weekends.
• The applicant must be in good health and must declare any previous adverse character record
• Candidate will require to do heavy lifting, loading/ unloading van.
