This important role ensures smooth daily operations and helps maintain strong communication between the Manager, Teachers and families and the wider community.
At New Beginnings Preschool, we are a nurturing, play-based early childhood centre where nga tamariki (children) are encouraged to explore, imagine, and grow. We value whanaungatanga (relationships), ako (learning), and manaakitanga (care and respect), fostering a warm, inclusive space for nga whanau and nga kaimahi (staff) alike.
Key Responsibilities:- Welcoming nga whanau and visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Attendance at monthly board meetings
- Responding to phone and email enquiries
- Maintaining enrolment records and child files
- Supporting attendance tracking and staff rosters
- Assisting with invoicing, ordering, and general office duties
- Supporting the leadership team with documentation and compliance
- Experience in an admin role (ideally in education or ECE)
- Understanding of Discover
- Account reconciliation
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive, welcoming approach and a heart for nga Tamariki knowledge of Microsoft Office and Zero would be a bonus
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Be part of a caring, collaborative team
- Contribute to a kaupapa that values ako and whanaungatanga
