Service Technician - Christchurch

We’re currently on the lookout for aMachinist / Service Technicianto join a well-established engineering company in Christchurch. This is a hands-on role with a great mix of machining and general service work, based in a busy, supportive workshop environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience operating manual lathes and mills
- Relevant trade qualification in mechanical or machining
- Welding experience – a big plus
- Hydraulic systems knowledge – even better!
- A strong mechanical mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team setting
- Solid time management and commitment to quality workmanship
- Taking ownership of jobs from start to finish
- Performing cylinder repairs and one-off component manufacturing
- Assisting with general service, repairs, and power pack builds
- Supporting the service team with varied and interesting engineering tasks
