Our Hamilton team are looking for an Asphalt Paving Foreperson, you'll lead a team, organise, plan and direct operations to ensure that work is completed to a high standard. Working alongside the Supervisor, you'll carry out toolbox meetings, run crew brief plans and work together to complete Asphalt Paving.

You'll also be involved in other duties which may include operating our modern machinery.

You will ideally be an experienced specialist in asphalt paving, capable of leading and motivating your crew to deliver high quality Asphalt Paving across the greater Waikato/BOP region. Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Planning tasks with the supervisor, and following through to ensure they are completed efficiently and to the required specification and quality standards
  • Maximising the efficient use of materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Supporting development/training and supporting career development
  • **Nga pukenga matua | Important Skills**
You will bring with you experience in asphalt paving and leading a crew. You'll easily be able to deal with unexpected events and provide direction to your team.
  • A class 1 full New Zealand drivers licence (WTR and DG endorsements are beneficial)
  • Class 2 drivers licence and WTR Endorsement preferred
  • Previous experience as a foreperson desirable
  • An organised and systemic approach to working environment
  • Good communication skills, you'll be able to easily chat with your crew and also engage with clients and senior managers
