About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Theatre Care Assistant to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in the smooth and safe running of our operating rooms.

As a Theatre Care Assistant, you'll support the effective day-to-day operation of the theatres by undertaking a variety of essential non-clinical tasks. Your contribution will ensure the theatre team can focus on delivering safe, high-quality care to every patient.

This is a fixed term role offered at 0.5 FTE or 20 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday.

Specific duties include:

  • Assisting with room set up and preparation for scheduled cases.
  • Support patient safety by understanding key infection control principles.
  • Ensure all communication supports effective teamwork.
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Have basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable to changing environments
  • Shows commitment to ongoing development
  • Passionate, caring and positive, can-do attitude
