Theatre Care Assistant (TCA)
About the Role
We’re looking for a dedicated Theatre Care Assistant to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in the smooth and safe running of our operating rooms.
As a Theatre Care Assistant, you'll support the effective day-to-day operation of the theatres by undertaking a variety of essential non-clinical tasks. Your contribution will ensure the theatre team can focus on delivering safe, high-quality care to every patient.
This is a fixed term role offered at 0.5 FTE or 20 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday.
Specific duties include:
- Assisting with room set up and preparation for scheduled cases.
- Support patient safety by understanding key infection control principles.
- Ensure all communication supports effective teamwork.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting
- Able to work flexible hours
- Have basic computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable to changing environments
- Shows commitment to ongoing development
- Passionate, caring and positive, can-do attitude
