About the role:

Join The Fono as a Dental Assistant and become an integral part of our team dedicated to providing compassionate, Pacific-centred care!

In this full-time role, you will support clinical care, manage appointments and payments, and ensure patients feel welcome and cared for, while being part of our unique FonoCare Integrated Model of Care, which connects health and social services.

This position offers a unique opportunity to support clinical and social services while making a real difference in our community's health and well-being.40 hours a week. 8.30 am-5.00 pm Mon-Fri (some future extended hours are a possibility).

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a rewarding career in dental or oral health, and could be a stepping stone into a Treatment Coordinator or Oral Health Therapist role in the future.

About you:

You are someone who enjoys variety and is not afraid to step up when needed. Flexible, reliable, and ready to show just how adaptable you are, you bring a positive attitude and team-first mindset. To thrive in this role, you will have:

• At least 12 months or more experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Current NZDA in Dental Assisting - being completed or willing to be completed.
• A strong work ethic and a supportive approach to teamwork.
• A desire to build a stable, long-term career.
• Proven skills in delivering excellent customer service.
• The ability to speak a Pacific language is advantageous and highly valued in helping us connect with the communities we serve.
