Senior Orthopaedic PhysiotherapistPart time 48hrs / fortnight (Wednesday to Friday)Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora WaitematāAdvance your physiotherapy career in an engaging, fun, and supportive learning environmentHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Senior team within our inpatient Orthopaedic & Elective Surgical Centre at Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora Waitematā.This is a full-time role, complementing our strong team of established senior clinicians and provide an opportunity to work alongside our clinical leaders, other senior clinicians and clinical coaches.

You will share your leadership skills by leading, mentoring and fostering clinical and service development within our team.As part of an inter-disciplinary team you will provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning through a patient-centred approach.We have a lot to offer you: (see link to Position Description for full details)Support and development of your personal and professional objectivesEducation to be able to provide staff with professional developmentLearning opportunities to foster service development and leading quality careTraining to provide professional supervision to staffCredentialing for weekend work: 3 weekend days/3-month rosterWeekly in-service trainingNetworking with clinical leaders, seniors and staff grades across the organisationRegular individual professional supervision for support and mentoringOpportunities to be involved in teaching and training for non-Allied Health staffOpportunities to implement and develop new patient care models and service developmentAbout youAs a Senior Physiotherapist you should have:Professional Registration and be eligible for an Annual Practicing Certificate with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand5+ years of relevant inpatient experience, preferably Orthopaedic and surgical patients.Previous leadership/senior experienceExperience with student supervisionStrong role modelling, teaching, advanced communication, leadership and coaching skills to work alongside other staff to support and develop their clinical reasoning.Experience in service development and quality improvement projects.Please click here for position descriptionWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
