Responsibilities will include:
- Landscaping work including raking, mowing, trimming, planting and planning.
- Planning and construction of retaining walls, paving, pathways, pergolas, decks and fencing.
- Installation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
- Maintaining planted and grassed areas
- Preparing plans, selecting materials and scheduling landscape construction.
- Operate machinery as required such as power tools, mowers, diggers, weed eaters and other machinery.
- Inspect equipment and follow safe work practices.
- Driving and operating heavy vehicles and machinery.
This position best suits someone customer service focused, with great communication skills, time management skills and excellent attention to detail.
The successful applicant should have at least one year of landscaping or gardening experience and will need to hold an NZ Driver’s license class 4. Experience in operating machinery and trucks would be preferable. A certificate in horticulture would be an advantage but is not essential.
The position is full time and we guarantee a minimum of 35 hours work per week.- $27 to $30 Per Hour
