Security Officer – Aptitude Security

As a Security Officer, you will regularly interact with customers and clients across various service areas, including:

• Static security
• Bar security
• Retail security
• Loss prevention
• Crowd control
• Security patrols

Training & Career Development

Mandatory security training is the first step in your career progression and must be completed before the end of your probationary period. Training includes:

• Security licensing and legal offences
• De-escalation and escalation techniques
• Control and restraint procedures
• Effects of drugs and alcohol on the body
• Company policies and procedures
• First responder first aid training
• Fire safety training

Upon completion, you will be ready to advance your career and work closely with the Assistant Security Manager and Security Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties may include:

• Enforcing liquor licensing and host responsibility policies
• Verifying customer identification (passport, driver’s license, etc.)
• Conducting regular patrols to maintain order and visibility
• Monitoring alarm systems, CCTV, and emergency equipment
• Responding to alarms and assessing situations
• Documenting unusual or suspicious incidents
• Identifying signs of substance influence
• De-escalating conflicts
• Restraining or removing individuals when necessary
• Assisting individuals in need
• Administering first aid or CPR
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures

• Ongoing paid mandatory security training

Job Types: Permanent, Casual

• Pay: $25.76 – $35.10 per hour
• Expected Hours: 10 – 20 per week

• Afternoon shifts
