Patientcentred: medicines focusedWe areseeking a qualified pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy service inAshburton. This is a non-rotational role in a rural hospital setting, offeringvariety, responsibility and the opportunity to develop a broad scope ofpractice.Based at asingle site, you will be involved across many aspects of hospital pharmacyrather than a narrow specialist area.
The role suits a pharmacist who enjoysbeing hands-on, adaptable and clinically engaged within a small service.You willwork closely with a local team on site and will also be part of the widerCanterbury pharmacy service, alongside pharmacists, technicians, assistants andadministrative staff.
The team works collaboratively with clinical services todeliver safe, patient-centred medicines care.We activelysupport pharmacist development at all stages of practice. Ongoing education,training opportunities and peer support are built into the role.
Hospitalexperience is welcomed but not essential, and pharmacists transitioning fromother settings will be well supported.Ashburtonoffers an excellent lifestyle, with easy access to outdoor recreation and thewider Canterbury region, while maintaining strong community connections.
