We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Orthoptist or Optometrist to join our Ophthalmology team at Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau, Auckland delivering high-quality orthoptic and optometrist assessments and management across our diverse community.

About the RoleIn this role, you will contribute to the delivery of comprehensive ophthalmic care across our busy secondary and tertiary services. You will work as an autonomous clinician while being fully supported by ophthalmologists, orthoptists, optometrists, nurses, technicians, and allied health leads.Your responsibilities will include:Delivering accurate, efficient, evidence-based assessment and management of ophthalmic patientsRunning independent and linked clinics, and supporting consultant-led clinicsManaging a varied caseload, including paediatric and/or adult patients depending on your scopePerforming detailed diagnostic testing and interpreting resultsContributing to service development, teaching, and clinical auditsUpholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity principles, and culturally safe practiceWorking collaboratively the delivery of regional services across Counties Manukau, and other Northern region sites.About YouYou will be a dedicated, adaptable clinician who brings professionalism and enthusiasm to your practice.
