[ref. c538401] Bulk Truck Driver - St Andrews
Rural Transport is a well-established, family owned and managed transport company with a late model fleet of trucks. Our head office is in Ashburton with depots in Fairlie, Waimate, Kurow and St Andrews.
We are seeking a Class 5 driver to drive a bulk truck which can be based in Timaru or St Andrews.
Key responsibilities in this role include; * Ensuring all product carted is loaded and arrives at its destination safely and ensure that it is unloaded per customers instructions.- Ensuring that the truck, and all corresponding equipment is carefully maintained.
- Ensuring vehicle compliances such as CoF, Registration, RUC’s are up to date.
- Maintaining good relationships with customers and other staff members.
- Previous experience with similar or adaptable role.
- Be able to follow instructions but also be able to use initiative and common sense when the need arises
- Basic use of in-cab tablet
- Good basic Health & Safety understanding and comply with all driving legal requirements.
- Must live within a reasonable distance Timaru/St Andrews.
- Must be flexible and able to work and stay away from home on short notice and work weekends when the need arises
