Location: Taranaki Base Hospital, New Plymouth
Service: Occupational Therapy Permanent Community / Rehabilitation position

Contract: Permanent 0.5FTE (40 Hours per fortnight)

Korero mo te turanga - About the role

Our Community Occupational Therapy team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join. The community team provides a broad range of services to clients with predominately physical disabilities throughout Taranaki.

As a community Occupational therapist, you will need-

Appropriate clinical experience working with people with disabilities.

The ability to provide efficient, effective intervention for community clients using compensatory approach, there are some rehabilitation services connected to this role.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise.

A knowledge and understanding of the funding processes for Enable NZ and ACC.

Preferably be an Accredited Assessor and registered Housing Assessor, if not eager to learn.

Good with Computer skill and ability to follow processes.

A commitment to quality service delivery.

Te Whatu Ora Taranaki employs approximately 350 allied health professionals across its services, and were growing our inpatient physical health rehabilitation team by 60%. You will be joining a friendly team that is diverse in skills and experience, a team that welcomes collaboration, and that values the contribution of each team member.

Our team provides rehabilitation care across acute and non-acute inpatient wards, and were happy to support other teams to ensure their success.
