Print Finisher / Operator
Studio Q | Laserfoil is an award-winning boutique print studio where craftsmanship meets creativity—and where old-school print tech sits proudly alongside the latest digital wizardry. We’ve just taken home the Supreme Award at the 2025 Pride in Print Awards, and we’re growing fast.
We’re on the lookout for someone who enjoys working with machines, takes pride in hands-on, precise work, and isn’t afraid to get stuck in. This is a genuine opportunity to join one of the country’s most respected print studios and learn from some of the best in the business.
About the Role
We’re looking for a finishing machine operator who is practical, reliable, and curious about both classic and modern print equipment. You’ll help keep jobs moving through the studio—from setup to trimming, packing, and dispatch.
Your week might include:- Operating Heidelberg cylinders and platens for die-cutting, foiling, and embossing
- Running label finishing equipment for kiss cutting, slitting, and rewinding
- Using envelope forming machines to produce custom sizes and styles
- Guillotining, folding, laminating, and general bindery
- Packing and prepping finished jobs for delivery
- Pitching in with general studio support when needed
Some of the work is physical or repetitive, but it’s a crucial part of producing the high-end, carefully crafted print work we’re known for—and there’s always something new to learn.
You’ll Need:- A genuine interest and experience in machinery and mechanical processes
- Good hands-on skills and attention to detail
- A positive, diligent attitude and strong work ethic
- The ability to work steadily and communicate clearly
- Experience in print/finishing is a bonus, but we’ll train the right person
- A place in a hardworking, quality-driven team
- Hands-on training with both heritage and modern equipment
- A wide variety of tasks and the chance to grow with us
- Real pride in your work—everything we do is beautifully made
- A solid, respectful work environment that’s pretty great most of the time—we’re not perfect, but we care about doing good work and improving together
If you’re mechanically minded, ready to learn, and want to be part of a studio doing meaningful, tangible work—we’d love to hear from you.
