To hear more about our culture view the video on our careers page.The Community Services Group is looking for an experienced, motivated, organised and enthusiastic person with excellent clinical skills and proven interpersonal communication to join us in the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist (Gerontology).
You will work closely with our Gerontologists and a small team of CNSs each of who specialise in an area of Older Peoples Health. The CNS Gerontology works in an in-patient setting and across the community. As the CNS for Older Peoples Health you will use your expert clinical judgement and leadership to work alongside patients, their whanau and our clinical and community care partners.
You will provide leadership and advocacy and will support patients with their rehabilitation and wellness journey. The role is a first point of contact and a nursing leader across older peoples health. You will: Be an experienced and highly competent registered nurse with 5+ years of experience.
Be committed to providing excellent clinical care and support for older people and their families. Have exceptional communication skills. Be organised, efficient and have great time management. Be confident to establish policies, processes and procedures.
Be comfortable working autonomously whilst also being an excellent team player. Enjoy diversity in your work. Remain calm and professional when working under pressure. Be able to use your initiative, problem solve and think outside of the square.
Have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Have the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.If you have a strong commitment to the care of older people and are a registered experienced nurse who can demonstrate the above, you will be a perfect fit for our team.
