Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Location: Hamilton and Auckland area (Auckland CBD, Takapuna, Albany, Botany)
# We have six branches in Auckland and one in Hamilton. Therefore the employee might need to work at the employer's alternate sites not only in Hamilton but also in Auckland, subject to mutual agreement.

Employment type: Full-time and Permanent
Days required: 5 days per week
Hours per week: 30 (minimum) - 45 hours

Hourly pay: $28 - $35

Job Description with key tasks and responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations and ensure smooth, profitable performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Develop budgets, monitor sales, and control costs to meet financial targets.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate staff; manage rosters and labour costs.
  • Plan and update menus in collaboration with chefs.
  • Negotiate with suppliers, manage stock, and control inventory.
  • Develop marketing campaigns, organise events, and build customer relationships.
  • Formulate business strategies and implement operational improvements.
  • Act as the primary decision-maker for all restaurant matters

Other relevant duties / related activities of the business, if required from time to time

Job pre-requisites (skill, qualification, and experience):
  1. Minimum three years of work experience in a restaurant (not a fast food or take away shop), and evidence must be provided
and evidence must be provided
  1. One year of managemental experience, and evidence must be provided
  2. Full understanding and good knowledge of hospitality industry ethics
  3. Effective communication skills and great interpersonal skills
  4. Not essential, but knowledge of Japanese food and/or experience at any Japanese restaurant may be preferrable
Hours of Work:

The Chef de Partie positions are full-time and permanent. Rostered working hours will be provided, so flexibility is essential, including weekends. The company guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week, but you may be required to work around 40 hours or more, depending on the restaurant's busy periods.
