About the Role

As a Sterile Services Technician your duties will be focused around, working with in a team environment to support the delivery of patient care by maintaining safe, clean, disinfected, and sterilised equipment for the operating services.

About the Team/Service/ Location

We are seeking a Sterile Services Technician to join our dedicated team in Theatre Services. The successful applicants will be required to work rostered shifts with an on-call component.

About you

You will also have strong communication skills and a good command of written and spoken English. Being independent and able to use your own initiative is imperative. Also, understanding the need for maintaining the highest levels of hygiene throughout Theatre Services is crucial.

Both Internal and external training and orientation will be required, and further professional development is encouraged. The suitable applicant will have a New Zealand Sterile Services Association qualification or be willing to complete the required education.

Training is provided whilst working and will be in partnership with Toi Ohomai Institute.
