Te whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity is available for highly motivated and innovative Senior Registered Nurses for the role of Clinical Charge Nurse working in Auckland City Adult Emergency Department. This position is required to provide clinical and professional nursing leadership, team work promotion, coaching of staff and monitoring standards of practice.
You will also be expected to have the flexibility to work in our Adult Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) including as CCN flow coordinator to support acute flow through the departments.For further details, please refer to the position description here.Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills To apply for this role you must have:Advanced clinical practice knowledge at least 3 years at a senior nursing level with demonstrated leadership experience at this levelCommitment to providing excellent careStrong accountability for resource and budget managementCurrent NZ Nursing Registration and an annual practicing certificateA commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi values and principlesHighly proficient clinician in nursing practice including skills, knowledge and ability to provide direction for and evaluate nursing careDemonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing practice to achieve theseAbility to provide coaching and address performance issuesExcellent communication skills and a transformational leadership styleIdeally, you will have completed or working towards a post- graduate qualification and have experience in Emergency Department as a senior staff nurse.
