Machine Operator – Excavator

You will be joining one of the paving crews who are skilled in asphalt and work the majority of the time on public roads and motorways. No two days will be the same!

You'll be operating a range of equipment ranging from rollers, pavers, graders, tractor brooms and trucks. There is also the opportunity to up-skill within this department.

This is a full time, permanent role working a minimum of 40 hours per week between Monday and Sunday, inclusive. You will be based in Bay of Plenty region, however, may work across or be required to relocate to these other regions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Minimum full Class 1 Drivers License or overseas equivalent
• Minimum 3-year roading and infrastructure experience including minimum 1-years’ experience in excavator operating
• Prefer WTR licence or overseas equivalent
• Prefer with knowledge on First Aid Qualification and Bitumen Safety course
• Able to work nights / stay aways as required
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to think for yourself
• A high level of physical fitness due to the physical nature of the role
• Be reliable, honest and a flexible team player
