Security Officer, Full Time - Waitematā Districtat Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitematā -
The ideal applicant will be an excellent communicator who can deal with others in a courteous, tactful, and efficient manner, while remaining calm in high pressure situations. We work 12 hour shifts and 7 days a fortnight, on a rotating roster.
As part of the emergency response team, a typical day in the life of a Security Officer involves a combination of routine tasks and quick responses to unexpected situations. The shift will start and finish with a brief handover to ensure continued safety of the environment.
The officer conducts regular patrols through Emergency Department, Triage, Wards and Departments, monitors CCTV systems, and ensures the safety of the staff, patients and visitors. Throughout the day, they respond to calls for assistance or Code Grey calls, handle emergencies such as fire alarms, and document incidents.

We are expanding our team to ensure increased security cover of the campus including our brand new surgical facility based at North Shore Hospital - Tōtara Haumaru. Health New Zealand Waitematā provides health services to approximately 650,000 residents of the North Shore, Waitakere, and Rodney areas.
