As a Work Broker, you'll partner with local employers to create jobs and support people into sustainable work.This is a front-facing role that blends business development and recruitment.
You'll build strong relationships with employers, understand their workforce needs, and match them with the right people.At the same time, you'll support clients to showcase their skills and step confidently into employment.If you have experience in recruitment, account management, sales, business development, or industry leadership — and you know how to connect people to opportunities — this role could be a strong fit.
What you'll be doing | He aha tāu e mahi anaBuild and maintain relationships with employers to create sustainable job opportunities.Work with businesses to establish vacancies, promote roles, and support onboarding.Promote MSD's services, products, and employer incentives.Collaborate with Case Managers and Labour Market Teams to place clients into seasonal and permanent work.Advocate for clients by matching them to suitable roles and promoting their skills to employers.Keep accurate records of employer and client interactions.Contribute to wider MSD programmes such as Immigration, Skills for Industry, and Cadetships.
What you'll bring | Ngā pūkenga kaunekeProven experience in recruitment, sales, account management, business development, or industry roles where employer engagement was essential.Ability to achieve results, manage competing priorities, and remain resilient under pressure.Confidence in cold calling, networking, and using digital tools to uncover opportunities.Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor approaches for different employers and labour market needs.Organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly.Flexibility to travel within Auckland.A full NZ Driver Licence is essential.
