**About the role:**
We are looking for an enthusiastic **Kitchen Assistant** to join our team at **Wairarapa Hospital** in **Masterton**. This is a **permanent role covering 14 hours a week**, perfect for someone who enjoys a steady routine and a friendly team environment.**Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:**
In this position you will be responsible for;- Basic food preparation
- Sandwich making
- Providing superb customer service
- Serving meals
- Stock control
- Assisting in general kitchen and cleaning duties
**He korero mou / About you:**
If you're our ideal candidate;- You will have good communication skills, be well presented, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.
- Ideally you will already have some experience working in a commercial kitchen, hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167 and 168) (or be happy to train for one).
- You will have superior customer service skills but
- Most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
