[ref. p2208424] Senior Quantity Surveyor

ConsultANZis seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a multimillion-dollar project in South Auckland. You will manage the commercial aspects, focusing on civil and utilities work, and ensure accurate financial reporting in collaboration with the Project and Commercial Managers.

Main Duties:

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, and regulations.
• Prepare and manage payment claims, variations, and costs, ensuring the project stays within budget.
• Identify and assess cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
• Handle all client communications, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of agreements, changes, and claims.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks and manage variations and claims effectively.
• Provide regular commercial updates to the Project and Commercial Managers, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Teams to ensure smooth execution, timely payments, and resolution of contractual issues.

Requirements:

• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• 8+ years' experience in Quantity Surveying, focusing on civils and utilities projects.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects is a plus.
• Strong background in civils or utilities work.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Proficient in cost and project management software.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify discrepancies in costs and contracts.
• Solid understanding of contract law and risk management.
