About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Bar Manager to lead the bar/restaurant . You’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional service, maintaining quality standards, and running an efficient, profitable bar operation.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily operations, service flow, and staff performance
- Lead, train, and roster bar staff to meet service and wage targets
- Create and maintain cocktail menus aligned with Hide’s concept
- Ensure consistent drink quality, presentation, and speed of service
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and control wastage
- Manage bar costs, margins, and stocktakes
- Ensure compliance with NZ alcohol licensing laws and host responsibility
- Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve issues on shift
- Maintain cleanliness, equipment, and health & safety standards
- Previous experience as a Bar Manager or Senior Bartender
- Strong cocktail, spirits, wine, and beer knowledge
- Proven leadership and people-management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and busy services
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
