Diesel Mechanic

We're looking for an experienced and qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our Tranzit workshop team based in Upper Hutt.

This is a great opportunity for a mechanic looking for a more structured workweek, hands-on work, and opportunity to upskill with the backing of an experienced workshop network.

• Work life balance - Monday to Friday schedule with consistent hours, and an on-call roster just once every 8-10 weeks.

• Your main focus will be on routine servicing, repairs, and ensuring our fleet is ready for daily operations.
• Using your trade knowledge to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair faults across a mixed fleet of urban buses.
• Working collaboratively with the Hutt Valley workshop team (including Lower Hutt) to upskill and prioritize safe and efficient work practices in our industry.

• A skilled and qualified Diesel Mechanic with proven experience.
• Strong fault diagnosis with troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills.
• A team player who communicates well with others.
• Someone who takes pride in their trade and enjoys working on heavy vehicles.
• Full NZ driver's licence (Class 2 or higher preferred).
