Waikato HospitalPermanent Full time- 40 hours per week, shift between Monday - Saturday, with some flexibility of shifts between 0730 – 1730, with a shorter day if preferred on Saturday. About the RoleWe are seeking a pharmacist to join our dispensary and supply operations team. This is a great role for a pharmacist who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work as input into this team includes working within our inpatient dispensary and oversight of supply chain and procurement activities.As a pharmacist with previous hospital experience or a pharmacist keen to expand their career into hospital pharmacy, you will work alongside a neat team of pharmacists, technicians and assistants, as well as be part of the larger team of pharmacy employees that provide a range of services to Waikato hospitals.Key responsibilities of the role:Dispensary pharmacist roles such as clinical checking of medication charts, final checking of medicines and medicine supply processesInvolvement in procurement activities, providing pharmacist oversight and adviceMentoring, coaching and supervision of pharmacy technicians and assistantsKey dispensary team liaison role with other pharmacists across the serviceThe salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the Allied, Public Health, Scientific and Technical Collective Agreement.

About youSkills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:Full registration with Pharmacy Council of NZ, with a current Pharmacist Annual Practising Certificate (or to be gained within 3 months of supervised practise).Senior pharmacist role – ideally at least 3-5 years experience as a pharmacist.
