This is an opportunity to apply your expertise in Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori health to influence meaningful change.Strengthen Māori Crown relationships by supporting engagement with whānau, hapū, Iwi, and key stakeholders.Provide high-quality advice on Māori Crown relations, including Iwi/Māori Accords and relationship agreements.Apply Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles to ensure equity and Treaty obligations are embedded in all work.Support governance and ministerial relationships to align Māori health priorities across the Ministry and health sector.Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders using diverse engagement channels.Ko ngā pūkenga ōu
- What you'll bringTertiary qualification in a health or relevant field and/or equivalent stakeholder, iwi, and Māori community engagement experienceAbility to operate in te ao Māori contexts, including understanding of tikanga, kawa and te reo MāoriKnowledge and experience in Māori Crown relations, Treaty settlement relationships, Māori health or a relevant fieldProven organisational skills with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities, and meet deadlines whilst preserving high levels of accuracy and confidentialityPrevious experience in applying critical thinking and using sound judgement to develop options and provide adviceNgā hua o tō mātou whare
