Caregiver
Are you looking for a role where you can develop your skills, continue your career progression and make a real difference in your community?
Presbyterian Support South Canterbury (PSSC) has been walking alongside people, regardless of age, background or religious belief, for more than 100 years! Every year we support and empower thousands of people, families, whanau and communities.
Through Enliven services we create elder-centred communities that support older people to have companionship, choice and independence, variety and fun, meaningful activity and purpose in their lives.
Our caregivers are central to enriching the lives of our residents, approaching each day with kindness and purpose. Working closely with residents, you will provide personalised care while empowering them to make choices about their meals, rest, mobility, communication, and daily activities.
As a caregiver, you play a key role in supporting residents to maintain their skills and independence. Ensuring their well-being, you’ll observe, document, and communicate any changes in health accurately.
We embrace Eden philosophy of care. This approach highlights the importance of human connection and the meaningful presence of animals, children, and plants in fostering engagement and a sense of purpose in life.
