Retail Store Manager

We are seeking a Retail Manager to organise and oversee the day-to-day operations of our fruit and vegetable retail store in Huntly. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing store operations, stock, staff, pricing, and overall business performance.

• Wages - $28-$32/hour
• Working Hours - Min 30 hrs/week

• Level 5- Certificate or Diploma is required.
• OR two years of relevant experience is required.
• 3 year experience will be preferred.

Job Duties

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• planning and managing the range of fresh fruit and vegetables based on seasonal availability and customer demand
• determining stock levels, ordering produce from suppliers, and monitoring product quality and freshness
• setting and reviewing prices in line with market rates and business requirements
• planning and implementing in-store promotions and pricing displays
• overseeing daily sales operations and assisting customers with product selection and use when required
• maintaining accurate records of stock levels, wastage, sales, and financial transactions
• preparing budgets, monitoring costs, and controlling store expenses
• recruiting, training, supervising, and rostering staff to ensure adequate store coverage
• monitoring staff performance and ensuring customer service standards are maintained
• ensuring compliance with food safety, occupational health and safety, and workplace regulations

The role requires a practical and organised approach, with the ability to manage a small retail business and work actively on the shop floor.
