Automotive Technician

We are looking for a skilled mechanic, ideally with WOF authority.

Summit Automotive Ltd is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our friendly and supportive team. Have your weekends to yourself – we are open Monday to Friday only. Competitive remuneration - negotiable based on experience.

Skills & Requirements for this Position:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in repairs and servicing

• Confident in diagnostics
• Understands time management, reliable and committed to work
• Strong manual skills and precision when carrying out repairs and testing
• Able to work unsupervised
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Class 1 drivers license
• Must be NZ resident or have an appropriate NZ work visa

The Role:

• Vehicle Servicing
• Repairs and diagnosing
• WOF authority
• Engine builds
• Tyre changing e.g., balancing, fitting
• Electrical, e.g. repair and replace faulty wiring and electrical components and systems.
• Assembling and installing electrical and electronic systems in motor vehicles
• Fitting accessories, airbags,suspension etc
• Manage quality and excellence
• Coordination and preparing quotes for work when required
• Maintaining a strong relationship with customers
