THE COMPANY:
We are currently working with a medium sized Canterbury based company, with a strong forward workload across a range of industries with projects varying in size and budget to find their next Civil Carpenter.
THE GIG:
In this role, you will be working as part of the Construction team as a Carpenter, where the projects you work on will require previous experience and skills in formwork, retaining wall construction, along with boxing at times.
Previous experience with similar work is highly advantageous, with those holding WTR further in demand, although this role is mainly Carpentry, some machine operation may be included at times.
As this is a Civil role, the sites being worked on will at times be dirty, so a willingness to work in outdoors environments is a necessity, with this role not suiting those wanting townhouse/house building works.
Given you will be working in a team, effective communication, reliability and a great personality is required as is the willingness to help your colleagues at times. With a deadline on some of the projects, this role is Monday to Friday 630/7am-5/530pm and may include Saturday mornings from time to time, with advance warning given.
THE GOODS:
- $29-33 per hour
- Full PPE provided
- Ability to undertake further training and development
- Temp to Perm role
- 4 + Years Carpentry Experience Required
- Down to earth, hardworking team
