We are now recruiting for full-time, permanent trade qualified or experienced Roofers and Carpenters to join our well-established team.

To be considered for the positions, you will have the followings:

ROOFER DUTIES:
  • Install new roofs by measuring the current dimensions of the house and cutting the roofing materials to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Inspect roofs when a customer wants a routine examination done, and create comprehensive reports for any problem areas and potential solutions.
  • Sell certain services to clients, such as waterproofing or adding a skylight, while also being respectful and never too forward reach out to past clients at regular intervals to ask if they need anything else done to their roof.
  • Install proper insulation in the attic area, and tear out any old insulation that does not meet current state guidelines.
  • Apply paint to the surface of the roof.
  • Determine materials required based on the work plan.
  • Repair roofs, including filling in holes, replacing missing shingles and Flashing, working on the chimney, removing water damaged pieces and more.
  • Knowledge of different types of roofing system.
  • Knowledge of building ordinances.
  • Comply with all Company safety requirements & procedures.
CARPENTER DUTIES:
  • Operate saws to cut timber accurately to cutting lists.
  • Build trusses and frames manually or use machinery supplied accurately to plans.
  • Report damaged or worn equipment to the Team Leader promptly.
  • Monitor and ensure performance targets are met.
  • Maintain an effective and tidy working area.
  • Provide assistance to other work areas when own work is up to date.
  • Ensure material used meets quality and industry standards.
  • Be aware of the safety requirements of other.
  • Advise of any safety concerns immediately to Leading Hand/Foreman and/or supervisor.
  • Actively participate within a team to meet the specific project’s quality & time requirements.
  • Learn & utilize skills, knowledge & experience to complete the works adequately the first time to eliminate -any rework requirements.
  • Demonstrate the ability & motivation to listen & undertake any directions given to complete work.
  • Have elementary carpentry trade skills, experience, & knowledge.
  • To have the ability to read and work against cutting lists.
  • To have experience with timber saws.
  • Nail gun experience.
  • Timber knowledge.
  • Comply with all Company safety requirements & procedures.
OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Have 2 years work experience.
  • Must be able to work independently .
  • Be able to arrange your own transport.
  • Take a drug test and undergo background check upon request accordance with NZ law.
  • Be reliable, be responsible of your own safety and others safety.
  • Respect personal, company, and client equipment, property and plant.
  • Applicant must have New Zealand work rights (Resident/Citizen/Work visa holder).
