Dental Assistant –FullTime
Nova Dental Care is a modern, patient-focused dental practice providing high-quality general and orthodontic care in a friendly and professional environment. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Dental Assistant to join our growing team.
This role can be part-time or full-time, and weekend flexibility is required.
About the Role
This position is primarily a chairside dental assisting role, supporting our clinicians across general and orthodontic treatments. However, some reception and administrative duties will also be required when needed.
It is a varied and rewarding role suited to someone who enjoys both clinical work and occasional front-of-house responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Chairside assistance during general and orthodontic procedures
- Instrument sterilisation and infection control (NZ standards compliant)
- Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms
- Assisting with reception duties when required
- Answering phone calls and booking appointments
- General administrative and office support as needed
- Assisting with stock control and ordering
- Ensuring patients feel comfortable and well cared for
- Dental assisting experience preferred but not essential
- Training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional, and well-presented
- Confident answering phone calls and assisting with reception duties
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible (including weekends)
