About the Role
Are you an experienced healthcare assistant (HCA) looking for work on a casual basis to fit around your family, study commitments or your lifestyle? Here is an opportunity for you to join our wonderful bureau team at Tauranga Hospital!
The role of the HCA is to assist the registered nurse to deliver a high standard of nursing care to patients in hospital. The position involves working under the direction of nursing teams who are committed to delivering comprehensive quality care to patients.We offer and support education opportunities.
About the Team/ Service/Location
The bureau currently employs a team of casual staff who work throughout the Tauranga Hospital. Our team consists of registered nurses, enrolled nurses healthcare assistants. Our staff are deployed to work in a variety of areas to cover planned unplanned leave, provide support where demand is high and expertise when needed or cover in areas where recruitment needs have yet to be met.
About you
Preferred applicants will:
- have a Certificate in Health Care Assistance Level 4 (or other relevant qualification)
- have current experience working as an HCA in a health care setting or in a related health care service. You must also be entitled to work in New Zealand.
- Is self aware, empathetic and able to support people through challenging times.
