Full-Time Agricultural Spray Truck Operator
Booth Ag (2008) Ltd, an agricultural spraying and sheep dipping company in Otautau, is seeking a full-time Agricultural Spray Truck Operator to join their busy team. This role involves operating a truck and/or a JCB tractor to spray liquid fertilisers, grass growth promoters, and agricultural chemicals on farms throughout Southland.In winter, tasks shift to sheep dipping.
This position requires someone fit, active, and capable of regular lifting. While experience with tractor or spray truck driving is a plus, a passion for machinery and a willingness to learn are highly valued. The company uses Satellite GPS in their equipment, so some technical awareness is needed, but training will be provided.A mechanical mindset is also beneficial for looking after your assigned truck and tractor.
Key Attributes for a Successful Applicant:- Excellent work ethic with supporting references.
- Full Class 1 Driver's Licence (Class 2 an advantage).
- HT, DG, and Certified or Approved Handlers Licence, or the ability to obtain them with company support.
- Independently motivated and takes pride in their work.
- Clear understanding of and ability to follow safety procedures.
- Good stock sense and able to represent the company professionally on-farm.
- Willingness to work longer hours during the busy summer season.
- Someone who can engage in conversation and isn't constantly on their phone.
- A NZ Resident
