About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientedGraduate Electrical Engineerto join our engineering team. This role is designed for recent graduates or soon-to-be graduates who are eager to apply their technical knowledge, gain practical experience, and develop their career in a supportive and innovative environment.

You will work closely with senior engineers on the design, development, testing, and implementation of electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical systems, components, and products.
  • Support senior engineers with project planning, documentation, and reporting.
  • Conduct research, testing, and troubleshooting to support ongoing engineering projects.
  • Participate in the development of technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and production leads.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to improve systems, processes, and efficiency.
  • Assist with firmware, PCB, and electronic architecture and design development.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from a New Zealand tertiary education institute within the past 12 months.
  • Strong foundation in electrical principles, circuit design, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as EPLAN, MATLAB, and/or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be eligible to legally work in New Zealand.
